I’ve been running a subtitled cinema group for deaf and hard of hearing people in the capital since December 2009, aimed at watching art-house films that are rarely made accessible in multiplexes.
We aim to see a film once a month, with the support of Curzon Cinemas. We often have over 20 people at each screening, and we’ve seen films like Submarine, Drive, Source Code, Nowhere Boy and many more, all with subtitles so we can follow every word!
I’ve just set up a new website for the group, which you can check out here: http://londonsubtitledcinemagroup.wordpress.com/
We’re going to see We Need To Talk About Kevin on Monday, so join the group and come along if you’re interested! Just email subtitledcinemagroup@gmail.com.
